When launching the new season’s brochure in May, Royal Ballet Flander’s new logo and corporate identity was announced. On 23 August our website will get a make over as well. You can find us from then on at www.operaballet.be.
Moreover, on 23 August ticket sales for our new season will also start. From then on you can book tickets for Onegin, Choreolab, Don Quixote and Flanders Fields at our box offices in Antwerp and Ghent.
Kunsthuis Opera Flanders Ballet Flanders has decided to end its professional relationship with Ms. Assis Carreiro as of July 28 2014.
The general director, Lena De Meerleer, together with board of directors and the management team, dancers, technical crew and staff, will ensure that all operations and performances continue as planned, with the assured professionalism and enthousiasm you have come to expect from us. The recent merger of Ballet and Opera vouchsafes continued success for the Ballet.
Lena De Meerleer: “All future productions, including Onegin and Don Quixote, will be prepared and performed with all our custom care and skill. Our audience has always been supportive. We have all it takes to continue on our path to represent classical ballet in all its forms and possibilities in Flanders and abroad.”
The board of Directors has been tasked to appoint an new artistic director as soon as possible. Pol Bamelis, chairman of the board: “Kunsthuis Opera Flanders Ballet Flanders is ready for the future. The Royal Ballet of Flanders and Opera Flanders have merged into a strong house with a clear added value in Flanders, and abroad. We will ensure a wellconsidered decision is made with regards to succession of Ms. Carreiro.
